The Lead Teller role is responsible for both Lead Teller and Universal Banker responsibilities. The percentage of time spent in each role will be determined by the needs of the branch where the banker is located.
Lead Teller Duties:
This position is responsible for the overall performance of their teller line. The Lead Teller will demonstrate leadership and personnel management skills by overseeing teller activities and monitoring the work performance of their teller staff. The job requires accuracy and sound judgment in a variety of situations. The Lead Teller strengthens customer relationships and supports bank growth by recommending products and services to customers and coaching tellers to do the same. Assures compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, the BSA/AML program.
Universal Banker Duties:
This position strengthens customer relationships and supports bank growth by giving customers a full-service opportunity to open new accounts, access supportive products and services, and assist with maintenance needs. This position also ensures compliance with all bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking regulations
Compensation and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of bank teller experience preferred.
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Proficient in computer, math, written and oral communication, and interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-starter who can solve problems and recognize when action is needed.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to reprioritize workload as needed.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changes in processes and workflow.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
- Uses sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to work independently while supervising others.
- Ability to effectively train others by adapting to the trainee's learning style.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds on occasion, and stand for long periods of time, required.
