Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY
 
First National Bank Bemidji’s Concierge position is the first point of contact for customers entering the bank and is responsible for providing consistent, high quality customer service in accordance with all applicable bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  This position primarily serves external customers while also supporting internal customers as opportunities arise.  The Concierge individual greets customers, identifies service needs, provides general information, and directs lobby traffic to appropriate personnel and departments to ensure the customer receives excellent customer service.  

Due to the nature of the banking industry, strict confidentiality of customer and bank information is required.  This position must exercise sound judgement to safeguard customer information and maintain the trust of our customers.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously
  • Identify customer needs and direct to appropriate personnel
  • Manage lobby traffic flow while maintaining customer privacy
  • Process basic banking requests for both internal and external customers
  • Open and close facility in accordance with security procedures
  • Assist customers with lobby coin machine and troubleshoot potential functionality issues
  • Process check orders both incoming and outgoing daily, and maintain the log
  • Verify incoming foreign wires and distribute daily
  • Distribute BSA related reports daily
  • Download and distribute contact emails and online applications daily
  • Send Deluxe Provent report daily, research check charge discrepancies when needed, and prepare account kits as needed
  • Review activity on dormant accounts and generate statements to customers monthly
  • Distribute deposit rates weekly and change when needed
  • Process outgoing and incoming check collections when needed
  • Assist with the promotion and maintenance of our 55 Connection club through mailings, events, and reports
  • Accept small delivery packages; monitor and maintain the delivery fob log for large delivery items
  • Backup duties as assigned by manager
  • Ensure backups for the position are properly and thoroughly trained
  • Attend required staff meetings
  • Follow security procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Previous customer service, and administrative and phone experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive use of computers, calculators, and telephones
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
  • Primary work environment for this position is that of a typical office setting
HOURS
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday; every other Saturday schedule 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • This position is not eligible for hybrid work
  • It is expected that work be completed, therefore additional hours may be required in order to accomplish certain tasks
  • Timecards are required and any time over 40 hours will be paid at the rate of time-and-one-half
COMPENSATION RANGE  

The compensation range for this position is: $17.00 – 19.00.  This range reflects the base compensation for this position.  Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
