Headwaters Music and Arts kicks off the 2023-24 Headwaters Open Mic and CoffeeHouse season! The monthly community gathering offers a friendly open mic opportunity and welcoming environment for folks to listen and perform at Headwaters Music and Arts. Description
The Swivets are Casey Rasmussen, NikkieLee Nolden, and Lisa Dixon. The group formed after NikkiLee and Lisa met while preparing to instruct at the 2022 Headwaters Rock Band Bootcamp. Co-instructor Casey overheard their need for a drummer, and the rest is history! The three have bonded quickly over their shared love of big swelling harmonies and emotionally charged lyrics. Headwaters Open Mic attendees will get a chance to hear The Swivets perform live as they take the stage on September 1.
Held on the first Friday of most months, the Headwaters Open Mic offers a welcoming and supportive community for musicians and spoken-word performers. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to sign up for a 10 to 15 minute set. Headwaters Open Mic and CoffeeHouse is a volunteer-led community event.
