Native American Music Award winner, Randy McGinnis, will headline the performance during the Native American Flute Festival at Bangsberg Hall on the Bemidji State University campus on Friday, June 28th at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the Festival is to honor and celebrate Native American Culture and the music of the Native American Flute. Joining Randy will be several other Festival performers including Jon Romer (flute player), Red Lake Dancers and Drummers, Louisa Barta (modern dancer) and other guest artists. The performance is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Region 2 Arts Grant Council. There will be a following Flute Workshop on June 29 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the American Indian Resource Center at Bemidji State. The cost is $25.00 and registration is limited to the first 25 participants.
