Gallery North – Stop by Gallery North’s First Friday open house on April 5th, 2-6 pm and visit with Showcase Artist Diane Sauer. Sauer has always been interested in watercolor art. She finds inspiration in nature, often using photographs as the basis of her work, while adding her own creativity to the theme. Featured Artist during the art walk is Gallery North member Maureen O’Brien. It is her desire to share with others the peacefulness, majesty and comedy of the inhabitants of the northwoods. Her love of painting has given her forty years of acrylic painting experience. A patiently expert teacher, Maureen offers classes locally, often from her farm near Solway. Gallery North is located at 310 4th St NW.
NWICDC – On April 5, the Northwest Indian Community Development Center will host nine local artisans from 3-7 p.m. during the First Friday Art Walk. Come see clay sculptures, bead work, acrylic paintings, Star quilts and more. NWICDC is located at 1819 Bemidji Ave N.

See the work of photographer Elise Heisler, a Minnesota resident originally from the Chicago area. She was blessed with the opportunity to visit Europe and see firsthand the beauty of Europe’s culture and architecture in 2014 and again in 2017. She visited Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and England. Italy had an especially strong hold on her affections as her Grandmother’s family came from there. She greatly enjoyed catching some of the immense beauty of Italy on camera and hopes you enjoy this peak into her beautiful memories as much as she enjoyed making them. The Beltrami County Historical Society is located at 130 Minnesota Ave SW.

An opening reception for Lindquist’s exhibit will take place from 4-6pm on Friday, April 5th, at Headwaters Music & Arts. The exhibit will be up in the Headwaters Recital Hall through the end of the month. Headwaters Music is located at 519 Minnesota Ave NW.
