Learn an acrylic technique of negative painting to achieve a finished 11 x 14 x 1 1/2" wrap around painting. Negative painting is a technique that takes thought but can be learned by practice. Students will learn to chisel out pines, sculpt and develop color combinations that will make the painting burst with color.
This is approximately a 3 hour class but may run into 4 hours. Students will be supplied with canvas, acrylic paints but will need to bring the following:
FLAT BRUSHES ONLY
#1, #6, #10 and at least one #6 FLAT angle brush. A hair dryer is also needed.
Please wear or bring a paint shirt along with you.
Refreshments will be offered.
Fees/Admission
Cost is $80. Includes supplies.
Students should make payment to Darcy Brambrink at Gallery North Bemidji in form of cash or personal check prior to class. Sign up for this class is available at Gallery North or you may call between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and we will add you to the list.
