Join us for a performance of Acting Black: Demystifying Racism, a monologue presented by playwright Carlyle Brown. Carlyle’s powerful theatrical monologue creates opportunity to gain understanding of American racism and its ongoing impact on institutions and individuals today. Following his presentation, Carlyle will facilitate dialogue between audience members on topics relating to minstrel shows, the use of blackface, and racism in contemporary American society.
