Aanikoosijigaade – "It Is Linked" Artist Reception
Date and Time
Saturday Mar 18, 2023
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
The connecting of stories; things old brought to new is an idea that is translated by two new and emerging artists: Joan Kauppi, collage, and Shaawan Francis Keahna, cross-disciplinary artist and musician.
Across converging generations, gender and media, they bring their observations about identity and current culture into dynamic visual metaphors. Collaging humor, question and poignancy, they challenge the viewer to think more deeply about the world they are part of. The public is invited to a reception for the artists. The exhibit opens March 6 through May 20.
