Overnight Full-time Youth Advocate
We Need You – Our Youth Need You
This is more than a job. It’s a lifeline. Evergreen’s Youth Crisis Shelter is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and committed person to join our team as an Overnight Youth Advocate. If you've ever wanted to make a real difference in someone’s life, this is your chance.
Every night, youth experiencing crisis, homelessness, or instability come to our shelter seeking safety, support, and someone who truly cares. The overnight shift is vital. It’s when young people feel most alone—and most vulnerable. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for someone dependable who can be a steady, calm, and caring presence during these critical overnight hours (12 a.m.–8 a.m.). Your presence can bring peace. Your words can bring hope. Your reliability can create safety.
We know overnight work isn’t easy. But we promise it is worth it. You’ll do meaningful work—greeting youth when they arrive, helping them settle in, responding to their needs, prepping for the morning shift, and creating a safe, warm space where they feel seen and supported. You’ll also have time to journal with youth, help prepare for the next day, and reflect on the difference you’re making.
We are flexible on the nights, and we offer a full-time, supportive work environment with deep community impact.
If you are someone (or know someone) who:
- At least 21 years old
- Shows up and follows through
- Cares deeply about youth and their well-being
- Believes every young person deserves to feel safe and heard
- Wants to be part of a mission that truly matter
