FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
Great River Rescue to Hold Annual Fall Harvest Dinner on October 14
Great River Rescue has announced that it will be holding its annual Fall Harvest Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday, October 14 from 4 to 7 pm at the Bemidji Eagles Club. The dinner menu will feature smoked pork loin from Stittsworth Meats along with a baked potato, green bean almondine, garden salad and dinner rolls. The event will also include raffle games and a silent auction throughout the evening. Advance tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at Great River Rescue. Tickets can also be ordered online at greatriverrescue.com.
Last year, over $9,000 was raised for the shelter through the Fall Harvest Dinner. This is an important annual fundraising event that aids Great River Rescue in its mission to save, care for, and find homes for companion animals. Sponsor tables are available for $200 for a table of 4 or $400 for a table of 8. Volunteers are also needed for this event. Please contact Brandon at Great River Rescue for more information on sponsoring or volunteering.
Great River Rescue, a non-profit organization, was established in 1977 as the Beltrami Humane Society. Over 10,000 kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs have been adopted from the shelter since that time. A no-kill shelter, it can house up to 45 cats and 25 dogs and maintains a waiting list of animals to be surrendered. Located at 1612 Carr Lake Road, the shelter is open from 12:30 – 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday and 12:30 to 4:30 on Saturdays. Executive Director Mustful can be reached at director@greatriverrescue.com or 751-7910.
