Job Description
The VP, Clinic is responsible for the administrative supervision of physicians and advanced practice providers. Reporting directly to the region’s Executive Vice President, the VP, Clinic is a member of the region’s executive leadership team, responsible for strategy and execution of priorities. The VP, Clinic is part of a matrix environment to the enterprise to maintain consistency in provider management.

In conjunction with CMO and Physician Executive Committee, develops policies and procedures related to the management of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Acts as liaison between clinicians and administration.

Reviews, evaluates and manages the performance of the providers to ensure that their overall performance is aligned with organization’s goals and objectives. Addresses performance and behavior issues via coaching and discipline as appropriate.

Facilitates physician practice planning and goal setting, including the annual physician budgeting process.


Current licensure in the state of practice. Must be an MD or DO. Must also be DEA certified in the state of practice. Certification by the appropriate American Board of Specialties within the first 3 years of employment is required and must be maintained. The incumbent must be a medical school graduate. Must have completed an AMA residency and be certified, or eligible for certification, by the appropriate American Board of Specialties. Sufficient experience to maintain a clinical practice.
