Northwoods Caregivers will be hosting 4 Monthly Caregiver Support Groups every Wednesday of each month in Bemidji, Bagley and Blackduck. A caregiver is anyone that is actively taking care of an older adult or person with a disability. These support groups will meet:
- Bemidji: 1st Wednesday of the month, 2 – 3:30pm at the Bemidji Public Library (509 America Ave NW)
- Bemidji: 3rd Wednesday of the month, 5 – 6:30pm at Lueken’s South (509 Washington Ave S)
- Bagley: 2nd Wednesday of the month, 2 – 3:30pm at Cornerstone Residence (Hwy 2 & Sunset Ave SW)
- Blackduck: 4th Wednesday of the month, 10 – 11:30am, Good Samaritan Sr Housing (152 Margaret Ave NW)
The group is sponsored by MN Department of Human Services CS/SD grant and Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging. Northwoods Caregivers also provides services such as caregiver coaching, transportation, grocery shopping assistance, homemaking services and respite care to seniors and people living with a disability.
