Homeschool Science: The Elwah River Now and Then

Event Description Two of the nations tallest dams, over 200 feet tall and each nearly a hundred years old, are scheduled to be removed in 2012. We will explore river dynamics, deconstruct a dam and analyze one of the most significant environmental restoration efforts of our time utilizing stream tables modeled after the Elwah river in Washington state. Geared to 4th grade level and up, but anyone is welcome to attend.
