Name: Black Ash Pack Basket weaving
Date: May 6, 2017 - May 7, 2017
Event Description:
A black ash pack basket is an old time way to transform a tree into a backpack. In this 2 day class you'll weave your own pack basket using black ash strips that have been hand pounded directly from the tree and cut to width in advance. We'll talk about tree selection and harvest and include a demo on how to pound your own weaver strips from a log. Your finished basket will be remarkably durable, surprisingly comfortable and incredibly useful. Pre-registration is required - contact Nate Johnson: nate (at) ivegottwohands.com or (218) 255-1345.
