Event Description
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's nationwide signature event. This annual event involves teams of 10 to 15 people who raise money through donations and fundraising to support cancer research, education, patient servies and advocacy. On the day of Relay, teams "camp out" and take turns walking around the track while they enjoy hours of fun, food, entertainment and camaraderie in a huge celebration of LIFE!
Inspirational moments include the Survivor's Reception and Victory Lap and the beautiful Luminaria Ceremony where candles are lit in honor and in memory of those who have fought cancer. Lighter moments include chicken races, kids' games, a frozen t-shirt contest and a Ms. Relay contest.
The public is welcome to attend and support the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life!
